Payment
A deposit equal to
25% of the total value of your rental is due when you make your
reservation, and the balance is due 45 days before your arrival
date.
For the Christmas Season, a Deposit equal to 50% of the total value
of your rental is due when you make your reservation, and the balance
is due on September 25.
Payment by VISA is preferred. We also accept cashier's/registered
cheques, personal/business
cheques, cash, money orders, and wire transfers.
Damage
Deposit
For the Damage Deposit, an authorization of $500 will be debited
to your VISA or Mastercard. Provided no charges have been incurred
for excess cleaning, property damage, or long-distance telephone
calls, the authorization will be voided approximately one week after
your departure.
Taxes
Canada's Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 7% is applicable, but non-Canadians
can reclaim the GST upon departing Canada. Provincial Sales Tax
(PST) of 10% (hotel tax) is not applicable for this property for
it is a private rental.
Confirmation
You will receive confirmation of your reservation within two days.
Cancellation
If you cancel more than 45 days before your arrival date, your Deposit
less the cost of one night's stay will be refunded.
If you cancel fewer than 45 days before your arrival date, you will
be charged a minimum of one night's stay; you may forfeit all monies
paid if a replacement booking cannot be found. We will make every
reasonable effort to find other guests to take your rental period.
We recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance.

Children
are most welcome.
Smoking is not
allowed inside the townhouse.
Pets are not allowed.
Arrival
and Departure Times
You can
arrive anytime after 4 p.m. on the first day of your stay. Please
depart by 10 a.m. on the last day of your stay. These
times are flexible if we do not have any bookings immediately before
or after yours. To avoid incurring extra cleaning charges, please
leave the house tidy and orderly. Please ensure the kitchen is tidy.
We will launder the linens.
Housekeeping
and Other Services
Housekeeping
- Whistler Romance will be absolutely clean and ready for your arrival.
Comprehensive
housekeeping, including linen changes, is scheduled every seven
days. Daily housekeeping is available through special arrangement
for an additional fee. Whistler Romance has its own washer and dryer.
Equipment
rental - Arrangements can be made to rent additional items like
cribs, high chairs, strollers, computers, etc. Please let us know
about your needs in advance.
Firewood
- Supplied.
Parking
- Two stalls are available. Telephones - Local calls are free. You
can make long-distance calls by using your credit card or calling
card.
Other communications
devices - A modem line, a fax machine, and a fax number are available.
Hot tub
- The six-person hot tub is maintained regularly, however you are
responsible for the water quality and water level during your stay.
Use the hot tub at your own risk.
Housekeeping
and Other Services
Basic household supplies - Whistler Surprise is a private home,
so you will find all the usual household needs on hand, e.g. soap,
toilet paper, facial tissue, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher
soap, laundry soap, spices and seasonings, bed linen, bath linen
etc.
